Mobile Crane Inspections(Annual)
An annual crane inspection, as required by OSHA and other regulatory standards (e.g., ANSI/ASME), is a comprehensive examination of a crane to ensure its safety, reliability, and compliance with legal requirements. It includes visual and functional checks of critical components like hoists, hooks, wire ropes, load chains, brakes, control systems, and structural elements. The inspection identifies wear, damage, or other hazards and must be conducted by a qualified inspector, documented, and certified to confirm the crane is safe for continued operation.

Rigging Equipment Inspections
A rigging equipment inspection, as required by OSHA and industry standards (e.g., ASME B30.9), involves a detailed examination of slings, hooks, shackles, chains, and other rigging components to ensure they are safe and fit for use. Inspections identify wear, deformation, cracks, corrosion, or other damage that could compromise safety. Regular inspections are categorized as frequent (daily or before each use) and periodic (at set intervals based on usage and environment). Inspections must be conducted by a competent person, with defective equipment removed from service and records maintained for compliance.

A monthly rigging equipment inspection is a more detailed examination than daily checks, focusing on identifying signs of wear, damage, or deterioration that could develop over time. Conducted by a competent person, the inspection includes slings, hooks, chains, shackles, and other rigging components, ensuring they are free from cracks, deformation, corrosion, or excessive wear. Findings must be documented, and any defective equipment must be removed from service immediately to ensure ongoing safety and compliance with industry standards like OSHA and ASME B30.9.

Non-Destructive Testing(Coming Soon)
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a method used to evaluate the integrity of materials, components, or structures without causing damage. Common techniques include ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, and eddy current testing. NDT detects flaws like cracks, voids, or corrosion while maintaining the item's usability.
To perform NDT, technicians must be trained and certified according to industry standards, such as ASNT SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712. Testing procedures must follow established codes and standards, with results documented for compliance and traceability. Proper equipment calibration and adherence to safety protocols are also essential.
